As promised, charts for both 'Net Greens in Regulation' and 'Net Scrambles' have been added to the performance section. Just because the top players can hit the hardest holes in regulation and make scrambles from seemingly impossible positions, is it reasonable to assume you can? After all, handicaps are taken into consideration to arrive at net scores and Stableford points so why not performance analysis? By taking into consideration the shots a player is allowed dependant upon their handicap and the stroke index of the hole being played, you can now see net scores for both 'greens in regulation' and 'scrambles'. For handicap golfers the ability to see general improvement is the key to improving confidence. Once these charts start to improve you'll find the rest of your game does too. These two charts are the first place to look to see general game improvement.
Jan 25th 2006 New functionality - In response to popular demand we have made changes to the Round and Game analysis section of OnPar. When viewing the 'Peformance overview', users can now click on any round to drill into the individual shot details. These can also now be edited if necessary. We have also had quite a few requests to show 'net statistics' so we are now working on the provision of a 'Net GIR' and a 'Net Scrambles' chart. We hope to have these available in the beginning of February.

After extensive testing and fine-tuning, a new feature has been added to OnPar. The 'Game Analysis' function shows you at-a-glance which areas of your game are in need of attention.

The analysis function is designed by OnPar's resident golfing expert Peter Johns and calculates a 'traffic light status' of 6 key disciplines, according to the handicap category into which the golfer falls. After hearing about the OnPar system and the benefits it brings to those wanting to improve their golf game, Gary Stangoe, Norfolk County Captain and manager of Costessey Park Golf Club signed up all members of their Junior Golf Academy.

Peter Johns delivered a demonstration of the OnPar system at Costessey Park to Academy members and their coach Andrew Young (the Costessey Park Professional), which was well received. Andrew Young himself subsequently signed up to became a member.
